Did you Know that...?

On 25th May the Empire State Building in New York City showed the colours of our National Flag on the top of the building to represent the bond between the USA and Argentina ... and that National Symbols were projected on the Colosseum of Rome in Italy to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Argentinian May Revolution.
Enjoy the photos and a little poem:

25 May

Many, many years ago
On 25 May
Lots of people celebrating
Glories of that day.

Let us celebrate together
On 25 May

Let's be grateful for the freedom
That we have today.

Here's part of an episode for you to have fun and practise your listening comprehension skills at the same time.
After watching it, you can try and answer these questions. Good luck!

Lucy's home made dress and perm

Drama - News from Mr. A from Spain

Hello my dear children:

Here I am in Madrid. I have already spent 28 days away from you.I am very happy here because it is a beautiful city.

Some buildings date back over 500 years. Can you imagine that?A few days ago, we had our Piaf premiere. It was a wonderful and an exciting moment.

We had a red carpet like the one used in the Oscar awards and the place was full of famous artists from Spain.

At the end of the play, the entire audience rose from their seats , applauded and cried full of emotion.

We all felt very proud to be representing our country and somehow we felt closer to all our affections.

I'm sending some pictures to you, so you can see some places I've visited here in Madrid.

I hope you are behaving very well as you promised and are not giving Miss Sofia any headaches.

I miss you and hope you enjoy the photos.
All my love for you

Mr A
